Summary: This work is dedicated to the study of one-dimensional periodicity photonic crystals, with emphasis on the application to solar cells and on the development of a software for simulating the reflectance and transmittance profiles of these crystals. The software validation was performed by comparing the results produced with those found in the literature for the same materials. The developed software was also used in a comparative study of the reflectance and transmittance profiles of the same material under different structures.
