Summary: The Boltzmann equation is an equation widely used to extract information about the transport phenomena of physical systems, such as the electrical conductivity of plasma, which has great importance for different types of applications. In this work, some important concepts and formalisms are presented about the plasma kinetic theory and the construction of the Boltzmann equation in its classical and relativistic
form. Then, a modification in the collision integral of the Boltzmann equation is performed for a scattering process. Considering the e+ + e- → ꭋ + ꭋ interaction, one obtains the Boltzmann equation that governs the dynamics of particles for a pair production process.
